TheraFuze DBF® Family of Products
The TheraFuze DBF® family of products utilize 100% cortical bone Demineralized Bone Fibers (DBF) processed using TheraCell Inc.’s proprietary and patented technologies. These processes have been developed to provide uniform fiber geometry, size and texture to provide surgeons with a 100% bone allografts with improved handling properties. These processes are also highly efficient, with very little waste, which honors the gift of life that donated tissue represents.
TheraCell’s processing technologies preserve the natural collagen structure of the allograft and our research has shown that with our approach the nanotopography of the bone surface is exposed and retained1. The exposure of the nanotopography of bone results in increased bone surface area and porosity, leading to increased cellular proliferation and adhesion and fluid absorption. Increased cellular activity is further supported by providing cells a cell friendly nanotopography where cells not only adhere on, but within, the fibers2.
